Normalcy, by definition, means what the majority of people do. Whether its right or wrong, if everybody does it, its normal. But when the norm is wrong, even though we have become accustomed to it, it remains wrong and requires change.
"Six years you shall sow your field..."; People get used to working, it seems natural — of course you have to work. But our holy Torah teaches us that man was not created to pursue worldly matters, it is only the consequence of sin that made the Sparks of Holiness descend so low. But through constant toil we can elevate them back up, up, all the way back to their Holy Source. Six years of back breaking work, and in the seventh we can stand back and bask in the splendor of the Upper Earth — Malchus — that ascends to Tiferes and receives new vitality which allows it to endure another six years of subjugation.
Jewish slaves, even those who fell into complacency and decided their state was 'normal', will finally be aroused from their stupor. When Chochma amplifies its influx to Bina in the Jubilee year, it in turn shines through calling them to life: Wake up! Wake up you Sons of The Living G-d. Return to your previous elevated stature! Heed not the call to 'normalcy'. You are spiritual, and your brothers are spiritual; Even when it is your brother who is in distress and not you — bail him out, bail out the Shechina within him that is in distress.
The Jews are not a normal people; They never were and never will be. We must constantly wait for our full redemption, when we will finally return to our original natural state of pure spirituality, cleaving to the Source of Life.
